Swan Hill Regional Library Service

Swan Hill Regional Library Service is situated in north western Victoria on the Victorian / New South Wales border. The service covers an area of 37,415 km and serves a population of approximately 26,000. Branches are located in Swan Hill, Barham, Moulamein and Wakool. A Mobile Library services towns in Swan Hill Rural City Council, Gannawarra and Buloke Shires in Victoria and Wakool Shire in New South Wales.  

The collection contains over 82,000 items, including books, audio books, DVDs, videos, CDs and magazines.

The Heritage Room, located in the Swan Hill branch, houses a collection of books, photos and articles on the history of Swan Hill and surrounding areas. The Local History and Genealogical Society have a room in the Library, which is manned by volunteers several days a week to assist people researching local and family history.

The local Toy Library is also located in a room in the Swan Hill Library.

Joining the Swift Consortium has been a great benefit to users of Swan Hill Regional Library Service as they now have access to a much larger range of resources than could previously be provided, an improved online catalogue, and customers can now renew items over the internet.
